---
The fanfiction found here is adult
literary mainstream in both
style and content.
I don't
do ratings. Instead I include warnings for potentially
offensive material. Some would be PG, some NC-17 -- but all
is adult, as that's my intended audience. Read
responsibly.
I think most links above are
self-evident, but "Journal" is where I give status reports on stories
in progress, "Guides" leads to miscellaneous information readers may
find interesting, "Profile" is 'About the Author,' and "Join List"
leads to a Yahoo Group for site updates.
LEGAL STUFF & THANKS
The X-Men, of course, belong to Marvel and
20th Century Fox. No infringement is intended, and God knows, no
money is being made. My use here is for creative,
promotional purposes only. Special
acknowledgement belongs not just to X-Men director Bryan
Singer, but also to actors Famke Janssen and James Marsden, who brought
Jean and Scott to life. Comics authors who've most influenced my
understanding of these characters are Scott Lobdell and Chris
Claremont; Ultimate X-Men was created by Mark Millar.
Scanned art belongs, of course, to the original
artists. Film and actor images belong to the studios or actors.
This site was graciously designed by
Puguita (webmistress for Infrared) who
surely had better things to do with her time. Some manips were
done by Kiryryn and ShalNyx.
Another "invisible" contributor to
this site is Naomi Kraus, my editor. Although I've had the good
fortune of several generous people helping with individual stories
(acknowledged in story notes), most of the fiction on the site
has benefited, both grammatically and in terms of plot logic, from
Naomi's sharp eye.

General Info
Marvel Comics (requires shockwave
plugin)
Pathos with a
side
of Frybread - Fanlisting for The Medicine Wheel.
The X-Men Movieverse for Fanfic Readers
- Devil
Doll's little
tongue-in-cheek summary about the universe of X-Men
film fanfic for new readers, posted in the Crack
Van Live Journal Community (a multifandom rec journal).
Superhero Hype X-Men - SHH is
devoted to comicbook films, and covers everything from Marvel to DC to
other presses. The link above leads directly to their news on the
latest X-Men film, but from there, you can poke around the site and
explore what else is there. There's also a forum specifically for
X-Men discussion HERE.
Xverse - A well-designed general
site for
info on the upcoming film.
XMen Films Net - Another
attractive general
site for info on the upcoming film.
Inverted Stripes - This site
covers both the movies and the old (1990s) animated series.
Ultimate X -
THE Ultimate
X-Men site on the web.
The Danger Room
- Rivka's lovely site for all the main X-Men of the comics.
Fandom Chronology
- Need to know when something occurred and in relation to what in the
comics? You need go no
further than this site.
James Marsden Web, James
Marsden Unofficial
and Marsden, The X-Man - Where did I get those images
of Jimmy Marsden that
I've used for Scott? They're screencaps or scans from a variety
of
sites ranging from the Internet Movie Database to Marsden fan pages,
many of which no longer exist. The above are some that
are still available or have cropped up since.
Famke
Janssen and Famke Fanatic - The first is a
nice site for
Famke that focuses on her acting (not
her
modeling or near-nude photos). It's not been updated in a while,
however, and I doubt it will be. The second is a more recent, and
more up-to-date site by the same webmistress as keeps the James Marsden
Web above.

Cyclops & Jean Grey
Cyclops:
X-Men Hero - Nadja's extensive Cyclops page.
Gallery, enormous
list of fanfic, info, AND she has the Summers family tree. This
is probably the most currently-updated
Cyke site.
Fatal Optic - Evolution
Scott. Lots of stuff, including fanfic and images.
Scott and
Jean Archive - A resourse of appearances across comics, cartoons,
etc. This same webmistress
(Alrischa) also has a site devoted to Scott and Jean specifically from Evolution, called Crimson Passion.
JOTTFans -- A forum for
discussion among fans of Jean and Scott. Must register to read
and post.
Rise Above - Relatively new site
for Jean Grey + fanlisting.
Phoenix, Jean Grey
- Nifty little site for the first X-Woman, now maintained by Nadav.
Bianca's
Ultimate Jean Grey Site - Huge amount of info, including some
on the film, also some on other female heroines (and
villains). My one complaint is that the menu page goes on forever.

Other X-Men
Love in the Wind
- Nadja's website for a Scott/Ororo match.
Sounds Like a Storm's Coming - Devoted
to Storm, it has a nice layout with dropbars! Updated
regularly. (Storm pages appear and disappear with
frustrating regularity.)
Jane-X
- Our affiliated site devoted to some of the most popular X-Women.
X-Women
- Another pretty site for the X-women generally, a larger collection.
Wolverine's
Realm - A comprehensive, comic-focused site on Logan. (Now
please don't
disappear on me! My Wolverine sites
keep going 'poof'!)
Unofficial
Wolverine's Chronology -
Ronald Byrd's attempt to make some
sense of Wolvie's life "He's the best there is at what he does ...
but where has he been doing it?" Comic-based.
Stars &
Garters - A site for our beloved Beast!
(Un)frozen
- Great, very extensive site for
the Iceman, the youngest of the original five. Lots of
fanfic!

Fanfiction Archives
Looking for more fanfic? Note that these are only
archives, no personal pages.
(The latter change or disappear
too often.)
IMHO
- First, a fanfic review site. Dex (of Dexcon fame) has a
series of review
columns for comicverse fic.
X-Men: The Movieverse
Archive - Official archive for the
Yahoo Group, X-Men Movie
Fanfic. This archive has quite a history. It was
originally establish by Kielle (C-FAN), after the first movie.
Time constraints forced Kielle to close it in Nov. 2000. It
remained open for a while, un-updated, but in mid-2002, Kielle took it
off Subreality, and Victoria put it on her server, to keep it from
disappearing. Devil Doll (the current archivist) accepted it in
early 2003 and began updating it with X2 fic.
Unfortunately, a gap still exists in X1 fic from Nov.
2000 till May 2003.
Comicfic.Net
(Cyke page)
- For Scott and Logan stories. The main page, which leads to all kinds
of archives (including Alicia McKenzie's Shadowlands series, featuring
Cable, Scott's son), is HERE. This site combined the old Itty
Bitty Archives and Alternate Timelines, and is kept now by Lise and
Alicia (with a very pretty, easy-to-navigate layout).
Moving
Pictures - Andraste's rec site for movieverse fanfic; wide
selection of choices. (This site is sometimes offline, if
Andraste needs space for other things.)
Red Shades
- Scott-focused fiction, more comics than movie. No longer
updated.
Fonts of
Pryde and Wisdom - Lots of stuff, obviously with a pref for
Kitty and Pete, but by no means limited to that. Luba collects
whatever she likes; all comicverse.
Remember Us
- Te and Hope's (multifandom) archive for characters of color (any
ethnicity).
Ephemera
- Sascha's (multifandom) recommendation site of stories about
women. Although it's geared as femslash, there's a good deal more
there. We need more sites like this that celebrate women.
X-Men the
Movie: Fanfiction Central - General archive of X1
movieverse fic; it was once the official archive for the XMMFF egroup,
but hasn't been updated since July 2001. Still, it does have more
X1 fic than the official
site above.
The Dark
Vault - Formerly The Mainframe, Eiluned's archive of select
fanfiction, movie and comicverse; more than just X-Men. Some
emphasis
towards erotica, and J/L friendly pieces.
Definitive X-Men
Erotica Archive - Samy Merchi's updated, revised archive of
erotica. Be aware that the material on
this site is ALL adult and the
front-page image may be offensive to some. If that bugs you, don't
go there.
General Interest
National
Congress of American Indians -
"The oldest, largest and most representative national [American] Indian
organization." If you want to learn what's important to us,
explore issues in Indian
Country, find a tribal directory ... go here.

Buttons & Banners
For myself, I use annotated links instead of buttons and
banners to cut down on loading time, and for the sake of a consistent
look. But I know others use banners and buttons, so I've made
two, virtually identical but that one is slightly squarer. The
other (much smaller) button was made for me:
