The most awsome adventure movie on the planet., November 16, 2000
This is it from the minds who brought you Star Wars and Jurrasic Park come together with a timeless collaberation that has changed the face of adventure forever and for that name on adventure you only need look to Indiana Jones.This is the most legendary movie in the last decade of the golden movie era and arguably the best adventure film ever made , with outstanding specal effects from industrial light and magic pulse pounding stunts and incredible action that still has not been matched in any adventure film since great perfomances and a hands down incredible performance from Harrison Ford who without him this film wouldn't work.This first film in the Indiana trilogy first gives us a glimpse of the legendary Indiana Jones as a college history teacher who for years has been searching for historical artifacts , when three men approach him about the whereabouts of the Ark Of The Covinent Jones cannot resist on what to be the greatist adventure known to man.His adventure leads him to Merikash where he meets his old tomboy flame Marion who act's like more of a man then even Indy does at times , when there quest leads them to Cairo to meet Salah a good friend of Indy's when Salah and Indy find the whereabouts of the Ark they find that it also leads them straight into Nazi territory who the Nazi's only matter of getting the mysterious ark is to win the war.Indy must use any means to stop them from getting there Nazi hands on the powerful godlike ark but in the end it's the Nazi's that pay the price with incredible jaw dropping specal effects they open the Ark and find themselves begging for mercy in this incredible non stop heart pounding adventure worthy of the name because you cannot think of anything else other then the Indiana Jones trilogy the film that set's the stage for it's even more succesful sequal The Temple Of Doom , hang on have fun cause your in for a wild ride.

Amazing specal effects,a boat in peril,a terrifying storm., November 13, 2000
Academy award worthy specal effects power this Wolfgang Peterson film on a Sebastian Junger book about a yaght and it's crew trapped in a superhuman gail force storm that , powerd it way through Glouchester Mass. in the fall of 1991 .In the small rural town of Glouchester Capt. Billy Tyne was running out of luck having been in a bad fishing season with his crew and the yaght Andria Gail they set out on a fishing expidition but when three storms collide incuding a hurricane loved one wonder weither they will ever see there brave men again, but when the Capt. makes the decision to head into , the storm with the Andria Gail not even a rescue attempt to save them will even save them from there fate as the crew of the Andria Gail pay the tragic price of natures wraith. Much controversy in this movie from the family of the Capt for potraying him as a Capt Ahab like presence but still very amazing specal effects and a tragic storyline it was amazing to see in the theater.The Dvd itself has a firsthand look into the amazing and saddend account of The Perfect Storm and a , worthwhile photo gallery of the The Perfect Storm good sound and great cast George Clooney, Jhon C.Riely ,Diane Lane, Mary Elizabeth Mostrantionio , and Mark Whalberg head the cast in this emtional true story of the most awsome storm nature has ever made.

This is it the worst sci fi movie of all time., November 3, 2000
I, remember seeing this tragic waste staying up at night watching TNT'S monstervison I , had a thought in my mind when I watched it of not knowing what it was until I, watched it , and lauging so hard I, bearly even had a voice left how bad is The Green Slime it is so bad that they couldn't even cover up the fact that they had such a low budget on this Z buget flop maybe it's because of the bad almost deathning title song or the carboard consoles of the crew of the plastic space station or the cheezy music and bad monster effects , monsters that , whine and have a millon eyes and the reused blood of a monster that grows into another one , how many times has that been used or the obvious strings when ever they use a modle.Of course lets not forget the plastic action figures on the space station and the fact that there's no oxegen out in space but somehow the space station catches on fire anyway.If you are not ready to shoot yourself after this pathetic waste of film is over then you are born with balls of steel but like many other people the tourture is unbearable not to mention the acting from some spanish woman that can't act her way out of a paper bag The Green Slime will forever be in the annels of film history as a terrible waste even for ed wood standerds.

Rocky Horror a movie forget it try a following after 25., October 31, 2000
Dracula forget it , Frankenstien not even these can't even hold a candle to how many times Rocky Horror Picture Show has been viewed around the world it dosen't matter what country you go to likely when you say " The Time Warp " this phonomonon will come to mind.Throw away all your , problems and let your inhibitons take you , give yourself to ultimate pleasure with a mix of parody sci fi/horror and if you have not seen this legendary film then when you see Tim Curry as the alien transvestite Dr. Frank n Furter you will know why this has just about as big as a following as Star Trek , but this is not just a film is a form of , expression for it's many legions of fans when fans come into a theatre to watch this film they know there not alone many others will follow dressed up as well.But after 25 years what has this film accomplished 25 years ago Rock Horror was a almost dead in the water grossing only $3000 in 1975 until it's creators in 1976 gave it a midnight run at a theatre in New York and after that the rest was history as Frank N Furter , Janet , Brad , Rocky , and Magenta would become household names word is the president of Rocky Fan club has seen it more then 2000 times.So what has the Rocky Horror Picture Show done for it's fans after 25 years it has done what no other B- Buget film has done it has given it's beloved and devoted fans a way to leave there problems behind of indiffrences and come together for a film that gives people all over a world young and old , no matter what color or sexual prefrence or what sex to come out and express themselves in a way that no other film could after 25 years if politicans cant make us see the light maybe this film can hopefully for centurys to come.

An engrossing and entertaining film., October 23, 2000
Not by any means should The Patriot be veiwed for accuracy while the battle scenes have some accuracy to them, to veiw this film and think that it's accurate would be fuitle but who knows really what wen't on in the Revolutionary War historians can only paint us a picture of what could have been wich is exactly what Dean Devlin and Roland Emmrich did in this epic was to try and give you a sense of awareness of what it could have been like the smells , the brutality , the chaos , the conflict , and the war.Mel Gibson once again gives an emtionally charged performance as Benjamin Martin a family man who at his age is settling to the family he has made but in many ways still fighting his deamons in his life from war when he was a soldier but his older son young and weary of battle want's to join the war for what he beleives in freedom. But when the redcoats threathen his way of life and put his family in danger he confronts his nemisis Colonel Tarington who seemingly pushes Martin more and more into war.When he tries to voice his opinon in a meeting with superiors and peers of his own townspeople and General Cornwallis , Martin voices his mind about the war that it should stop and peace should be made with both sideds but he's only ridiculed and laughed at even by his elder son who belives in what the war is doing.But when the war gets more intense and Martin begins to loose his family to the war and insurmountable loss they push him to the breaking point into battle forming a malitia , but they will have to face the colonels midevial battle tactics and his barbarism and the whole entire army of General Cornwallis to do so they must join an army .In this entertaining epic , many options , commentarys trailers , docudrams and informative info on the making of this film a fun film to watch.

Undeniably the best comic to film transfer ever , epic., October 23, 2000
When director Brian Singer did The Usual Suspects he changed the way thrillers were made.Now let me tell you when he tackled X-Men he definately tackled it and then some giving it his touch his wizardry to make this by far the best comic to film transfer ever made.The movie starts with a man named Xavier who in an earlier scene was with a man named Magneto in the Jewish Holocaust former friend but now clouded by a diffrence in veiws of the world , Magneto's objective is to rid the planet of every human life form.But Xavier's wish is to help the humans to realize the potential in accepting one another and living in peace.But in a world where the face of evil can lurke anywhere is there hope of peace from the face of magneto's wraith there is Xavier who is played brillantly by Patrick Stewart has formed an alliance of war torn mutants who have been anything but accepted by humans each mutant has a gift certain powers that if controlled can be used for goodpurposes but when an alienated teenager by the name of Rouge and a war torn bad boy named Wolverine played by newcomer , Hugh Jackman who does an exceptional acting job it makes the road for Xavier all the more harder.When Wolverine is shyed into Xaviers allience , Wolverene is more then not willing to see the good in the cause till he finds out that there are , more like him Dr. who has telikenetic powers ,Cyclops who has a fusion ray in his helmet and storm who has the ability to control weather , but Magneto also has mutants of his own Sabertooth , Toad , and the beautiful but dangerous Mystique but when Magneto's plan involves using Rouge as a shild for his experiment Wolverene who has a friendship bond to Rouge decideds to join the X-MEN to fight Magneto's ploit but it will not be easy for the X-MEN, in this incredible and film worthy adaption to the legendary comic book , great acting and an epic storyline push this to be one of the best films of 2000 , worth while options and a great storyline this is a must for any action fan and you even don't even have to be a fan of the comic to see this movie.A great film the entire family will love alot of great morals in this see again film.

A taugt action thriller , amazing action and visual effects., October 23, 2000
Johnathan Mostow took on the action genere with an inventive edge with Breakdown proving that a film with action could be inteligent and not need any eye popping effects to do so.But in this thrilling underwater film he does the complete oppisite making the effects not , command the film but push it along but at times the FX are so realistic in the movie that you can't help but be blown away by them.The battle scenes so realistic , that they can even hold there own against a film suchas DAS BOOT.Bill Paxton , Harvey Kitel and John Bon Jovi play pivital roles in this first film of the 2000 summer season , a group of naval personell and there commanding officers have 48 hours to prepare for a big mission the mission engage quickly to intercept U-571 and recover an inperitive item if not the consiquences will be disasterious.But the approach will not be easy and at every step it will be harder for the crew to , avoid being engaged in battle in the exciting sumberine World War 2 war film there are breathtaking photography incredible action sequences and jaw dropping effects , also jam packed with a commentary , trailers , info docudramas and a hole lot more , if you liked DAS BOOT pick this awsomwe film up cause after it's over your going to want to take this thrill ride again.

An intense in your face , melodramatic film., October 7, 2000
P.T. Andersons melodramatic star studed epic about the rise and fall of a porn god is no less amazing to see as it , plays out like something from True Hollywood Story a gifted busboy disowned by his parents is played beleivably by Mark Whalberg who get's a chance encounter by Jack Horner a porn film director who's popularity is growing with female porn star Rollergirl played by Heather Ghram , Jack is played by academy award nominated Burt Reynolds who is seeking a lead male porn star for his movies when he finds this busboy he dosen't know it but Jack is about to turn him into the most hottest porn star that ever lived , with his newfound comes his ego also as he becomes Dirk Diggler the 17 year old porn god with a 13 inch right between his legs that is given his stardom , with money friends , women , respect , and drugs. He finds a new life he never new he had but even a god can fall from grace , all it took was one argument with Jack , for it to be all a distant dream , now away from the porn industry left to presue his other passion music he finds out that his former job is giving him trouble to presue anything else and when him and his friends decide to , make a drug deal Dirk is finding out that his life is going absoulutely no where and fast , suddenly he's left to decide what he's going to do with his life , a person is gifted with one specal thing and it just so happens for Dirk that specal thing is between his legs he can't run from it he can't hide it so he ends up right back where he started as Dirk Diggler the porn god in this 70& 80 charachter driven melodrama with director commentarys and music from the movie and deleted scenes that push the movie well over 3 hours it's fun to see what the movie would have , looked like as a longer film this is one modern day epic you don't want to miss Boogie Night all in all is one wild trip that you'll wan't to take over and over and with a searing sountrack it only helps it more.

In a world of darkness and chaos, racism and dispair there lies hope for a new future that only derive in the X - Men a band of mutants so hated by humans yet cared for by a single man Xavier.Stan Lee's infamous comic get's new life in this inteligently done big buget screen adaption that stays true to the original vison of it's creators a powerful performance by newcomer Hugh Jackman who does not know what his path in life is , and confronts a very troubled girl named Rouge in the film they seem to have a connection a bond because they share the same feelings of being alienated by people who don't understand them. When they find that there is a man that knows about them being Xavier , Wolverine is precarious to weither he should trust him and Rouge even though she dosent know the use of her powers and how to control them is at ease.Halle Barry plays storm who knows full well road that she taken is right and has full control of her powers and is at times a mediator for Wolverine. When a powerful and mysterious man named Magneto is conjering up a recipe for distruction his mutants and him decide to decive the X-Men and take Rouge she is the missing link for him to make his plans complete but when the X-Men find out there not about to give up without a fight they all set there diffrences , aside to save Rouge and humanity from it's fate. With a directors commentary from Brain Singer and production notes , trailers and incredible picture and sound X-Men is a film that's a sure fire recomendation for kids it teaches them morals and values to not only , accept people for who they are but to come together and unite and work together for a good cause but great for adults because of it's dramatic and emotional power as well as great action and acting all around X-Men is a film your sure to want to watch over and over again and now on DVD it's even better a worthy experience.

The heart of darkness for the 90's , morbid but inteligent., September 28, 2000
Fight Club is not for the faint of heart or for the person who does not like inteligent movies.But Fight Club draws you in on it's mayhem of 2 hours and 30 minutes of pure brain candy it entices the senses as well as the mind when you watch this movie you not only watch it you experience this power driven film but what results the most out of Fight Club is the fact that we all wish that we could take our frustrations out on society as in , this movie.David Finchers dark but at times moral film about a man that is frustrated with society and how his life is heading he somehow can't sleep at night and decides that to awaken his life he would attend support groups and meetings every week is not doing it this man is played exceptionaly by Edward Norton , when in one of his meeting he meets an enstranged woman played by Helen Bonam Carter who basically is addicted to everything and is alone in her life decides to go to meetings with him. Whatever this man is doing is not seemings to help his out of control lifestyle until he meets a mysterious man named Tyler Tyler gives this out of synch man just what he was looking for when he calls Tyler to ask him for a place to stay strangely enough he agrees , Tylers place a dump but what Tyler shows him next is beyond everything he even anticipated he shows the no name man a world without any matirealistic value and in this underground hiding place is a world of no worry no nothing the world of Fight Club in fight club the first rule is that you never talk about it second rule is there are no rules just men taking there frustrations about the world out on each other by beating each other to a bloody pulp. But when Tyler shows the man of Fight Club it seems it so addicting hes stuck to it and Tyler seems more and more nearing the breaking point even going as far as stick a gun in the mans mouth for asking questions about the club that has hit all around the United States , with a suprise ending that sure to please. All in all Fight Club is a tour into the darkness and mayhem of modern day society and this tour your just going to have to take to beleive it.With director and actor commentarys by Brad Pitt and Edward Norton and director David Fincher and , production notes and deleted scenes Fight Club is sure to please any DVD owner so dim the lights get the popcorn ready and put in this truly awsome modern day epic for you to own.
